Participation in the Blue Like Jazz contest constitutes entrant's full and unconditional agreement to and acceptance of these Official Rules ("Official Rules"). The Contest begins at 12:00:01 a.m., Eastern Daylight Time ("EDT") on 02/20/2012 and ends at 11:59:59 p.m., ("EDT”) on 04/20/2012 ("Contest Period"). Contest is sponsored by Blue Like Jazz Movie, 3000 Meridian Blvd., Suite 140, Franklin, TN 37067 (the "Sponsor"), who is solely responsible for all aspects of this Contest.
Eligibility:
The Contest is open to all legal US residents, 18 years of age or over, at time of entry. Employees, officers, and directors (including immediate family members and members of the same household) of the Sponsor, their affiliated companies, subsidiaries, advertising and promotion agencies, and any other entities directly associated with this contest (collectively, "Released Parties”), are not eligible to participate.
To Register:
1) Register by going to http://everybodybelongssomewhere.com. All entrants must register on the website, and complete the promotion tasks listed to have a chance at winning.
Limit:
One (1) registration per person. In the event more than one (1) entry is received from any one person or email address, the first Entry processed will be considered the only valid Entry received for the Contest.
Internet Limitations of Liability:
If for any reason this contest is not capable of running as planned due to infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or any other causes beyond the control of the Sponsor which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this contest, the Sponsor reserves the right at its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process, and to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the contest in whole or in part, at any time, without notice and award the prizes using all non-suspect eligible entries received as of this termination date. Sponsor assumes no responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction or unauthorized access to, or alteration of, entries. The Sponsor is not responsible for any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone network or telephone lines, computer on-line systems, servers, or providers, computer equipment, software, failure of any e-mail or entry to be received by Sponsor on account of technical problems, human error or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any Website, or any combination thereof, including any injury or damage to participant's or any other person's computer relating to or resulting from participation in this contest or downloading any materials in this contest. CAUTION: ANY ATTEMPT TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE ANY WEBSITE OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THE CONTEST IS A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS AND SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, THE SPONSOR RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK DAMAGES OR OTHER REMEDIES FROM ANY SUCH PERSON(S) RESPONSIBLE FOR THE ATTEMPT TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.
Prizes:
One (1) Grand Prize – There will be one (1) Grand Prize winner. *Grand Prize Winner plus one (1) guest will receive a trip to the Storyline Conference at Belmont University in Nashville, TN on May 6-7, a meal with Donald Miller and Steve Taylor (subject to availability), and a tour around Nashville with Steve Taylor.
Two (2) Second Place Prizes – There will be two (2) Second Place Prize winners. Each second place prize winner will receive a $150 Amazon Gift Card, a personalized autographed copy of Blue Like Jazz (book), and a personalized video greeting from Donald Miller and Steve Taylor. (Approximate retail value: $165 each)
Three (3) Third Place Prizes – There will be three (3) Third Place Prize winners. Each third place prize winner will receive a $50 Amazon Gift Card, a personalized autographed copy of Blue Like Jazz (book), and a personalized video greeting from Donald Miller and Steve Taylor. (Approximate retail value: $65 each)
Fifteen (15) Runner Up Prizes – There will be fifteen (15) Runner Up winners. Each runner-up prize winner will receive an autographed copy of Blue Like Jazz.
Twenty-five (25) Ticket Prizes – There will be twenty-five (25) Ticket Prize winners announced a week and a half before the contest ends. Each Ticket prize winner will receive a pair of tickets to see Blue Like Jazz in their city on opening weekend. Winners must live in a city where the movie will be playing.
Twenty-five (25) Video Prizes Winners – There will be twenty-five (25) Video Prize winners who will be randomly selected from the list of entrants with 1600+ points earned. Each Video Prize Winner will receive a personalized video from Donald Miller and Steve Taylor.
Substitutions by winners are not permitted. The prizes are not exchangeable, transferable, or redeemable for cash. All decisions by Sponsor as to prize winner and prizes are final.
*Round-trip, coach class airfare for one (1) Winner and one (1) Guest to Nashville between the dates of May 5-8 (dates subject to change). (Approximate retail value: $800.00 and may be distributed through Visa gift cards or airplane vouchers); Hotel accommodations for two (2) nights for Winner and Winner's Guest (one room) (approximate retail value: $300.00 and may be distributed through Visa gift cards or hotel vouchers); if an airport shuttle is not available, a rental car gift card or voucher for one driver over the age of 25 for 3 days (approximate retail value: $85. May be distributed through Visa gift cards or rental car vouchers); one (1) Meal for winner and guest with Donald Miller and Steve Taylor (approximate retail value: $100); $40 per day for food; two (2) tickets to the Storyline Conference in Nashville, TN (approximate retail value: $500).
Drawing and Notification:
Each winner will be selected by most points earned, from among all eligible entries received, on or about 04/21/2012. Odds of winning will depend on the total number of eligible entries received and the amount of points earned. Each winner will be notified by email, telephone and/or USPS mail. Winners have 24 hours to claim their prize via email or telephone or new winner(s) will be selected.
Prize Conditions:
Each prize winner will be required to sign an Affidavit of Eligibility and Liability/Publicity Release to be returned within 24 hours of written notification, or prize may be forfeited and an alternate winner selected. All taxes, if applicable, are the sole responsibility of the winner. The winner's entry, and acceptance of the prize, offered constitutes permission (except where prohibited) for the Sponsor to use said winner's name, photograph, likeness, statements, biographical information, voice and address (city and state), in all forms of media, in perpetuity, without notice or further compensation.
Release and Indemnity:
By entering the Contest, entrants agree to release, discharge, indemnify and hold harmless the Sponsor and its parent company, subsidiaries, affiliates, retailers, distributors and advertising and promotion agencies, and its and each of their respective directors, officers, employees, shareholders and agents from any and all liability, loss, damage or injuries to any person (including death) or property of any kind sustained in connection with their participation in the Contest or from their acceptance, receipt, possession and/or use or misuse of the prize, or for any typographical or other error in the printing, offering or announcement of the prize. Entrants further acknowledge that said parties have neither made nor are in any manner responsible or liable for any warranty, representation or guarantee express or implied, in fact or in law, relative to the prize, including, but not limited to, its quality or fitness for a particular purpose. By participating, entrants waive any right to claim ambiguity in the contest or these Official Rules. Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify any entrant that Sponsor determines, in its sole discretion, violates these Official Rules.
